TingTing at Web Summit Qatar

Web Summit Qatar 2026 just wrapped up, and for the 30,000 attendees from 127 countries, it was a massive display of where the industry is headed. For us, it was something more specific. Standing as the only company representing Nepal among 1,600 startups and nearly 1,000 investors wasn't just a point of pride, it was a confirmation of our trajectory.
The Path to the Global Stage
Building a company is one thing; taking it to a global showcase in less than a year is another. We established Tingting with a clear conviction, and seeing it at the Web Summit Qatar selected for the Startup Showcase so early in its life cycle validates that we are solving universal problems, not just local ones.
At our stall, the energy was focused on genuine exchange. We talked about the mechanics of growth and the realities of building tech that businesses actually want to use. These interactions confirmed that our challenges and ambitions are shared by innovators worldwide. Our product lines aren’t just a collection of features; it’s an ecosystem designed to make every interaction feel more human and less like a chore. This is the confidence we carry back to Kathmandu. We’ve seen that our product lines can hold their own in a room full of global veterans. We aren\'t just "starting"; we are setting a pace.
Prioritizing Understanding Over Listening
A recurring theme in our conversations was the shift in how we approach our users. While most companies are content with "listening" to feedback, which often ends up as just another data point on a spreadsheet, we are moving in a different direction.
Our current focus is evolving toward an entire communication suite that prioritizes understanding. What does that look like in practice? It means moving beyond the transaction. It means building an ecosystem where our communication suite doesn’t just "function," but actually comprehends the friction points of the people it serves. In Doha, we found a global hunger for this exact approach, tech that feels human and intuitive because it was built from a place of deep user empathy.
The scale of Web Summit Qatar 2026 was immense, with over 30,000 participants bringing together a truly multipolar tech world.
We are returning home with more than just business cards; we have a sharper perspective on our product roadmap and a reinforced commitment to our national story.
What's Next
The traditional map of the tech world is changing. We’re seeing a shift where innovation is no longer centralized, but is instead being built by founders from every corner of the globe. This "new global order" means that a company from Nepal has as much right, and potential, to lead a category as anyone else. By proactively seeking out these international platforms, we’ve ensured that Nepal has a seat at that table.
Our work with TingTing is just the beginning of this evolution. We’ve wrapped up the event, but our focus is now wider, our goals are more assertive, and our understanding of our users is deeper than ever.
